The Welsh Branch of the UK Noise Association (UKNA) was launched on February 1st 2008 and its purpose is to highlight noise issues specifically relating to people living in Wales.

Both UKNA Wales and UKNA are campaigning organisations and not support groups for people with noise problems.  If you have a noise problem please contact our Noise Resource Service web site for general information or Noisedirect (Discuss your case under a fixed rate advice scheme with an experienced Environmental Health professional).

The introduction of a European Directive that requires member states to provide noise maps and actions plans has led to a wave of interest and the Welsh parliament will have to produce noise maps and action plans to reduce noise by July 2008.

As a campaigning organisation UKNA Wales’s first mission is to find out what are the key noise issues that are of concern to people living in Wales.  So it is running an on-line survey, which you can access below.  The survey will run until the summer of 2008 and is completely confidential.

Conferences and other events are being planned for 2008—2009.  If you live in Wales and are concerned about noise, or are affected by noise, then please consider getting involved.  Please write to us at our head office: UK NOISE ASSOCIATION PO BOX 55, Chatham, Kent ME4 9AJ or email: info@ukna.org.uk

Please take part in our noise survey for Wales.
